R-evolutionary Business Thinking
A little time ago I wrote a post where I was still struggling with the idea of what it meant to be a ‘rebel in a business suit’.
However after the launch of the keynote speech in London last week, I feel that what we are now partaking in is the rise of a ‘r-evolutionary generation’ with the power to effect change in this world like no generation before it.
Rebels in business suits are members of the ‘transitional’ or ‘bridge’ generation - a generation that has faced more change than any other generation has ever seen in history.
Now, we face an evolutionary change of values from the old age to the new age, from the masculine values of the old age to the feminine values of the new.
We are waking up to this fact and this is impacting on businesses because there is a greater search for purpose and meaning in the work that we do and we are willing to leave everything to find what that purpose might be. We have accomplished and are now moving beyond the simple ego-driven motivators like money, cars and power and are looking for something deeper.
We rebels understand that business can be the most powerful force for transformation on the planet today. We can see that the world is a connected place and that we share a communal future.
For the first time in history our global generation, which has more affluence, information, power and longevity than any before it, has the power to keep the promises we made to ourselves as younger men and women and change the world for the better through the transformational power of business.
In this, we can be a ‘r-evolutionary generation’ and leave a legacy that our descendants will bless us for.

* Peaceful R-evolution
* Plentiful R-evolution
The ‘Rebel in a Business Suit’ is willing to step into this new age, to fully actualise ourselves and connect with the people and the planet for a greater good. We are willing to sacrifice our current everything and step into the unknown to find an ever greater adventure.
