Symbols
Symbols are powerful anchors in peoples lives. Symbols can evoke emotions such as hatred, fear and pride. They can reflect a feeling of belonging and community too and represent the finer elements of our nature.
I’ve been looking for a symbol for the Rebel Island community for the last while but it just hasn’t happened yet. The one we are using currently was something I liked. It was strong, iconic and something I felt would be simple and clear enough that it would be instantly recognisable. It was - only not to UK audiences - but to American - they immediately recognised it as the Radio Shack trademark! (or even the registered trademark symbol) . So….back to the drawing board.
The Universe is unfolding (see latest blog on my personal website) and I am resolved to “reflect not reflex”.
The word on Rebel in a Business Suit is spreading. I have just completed two articles (which we will put on the site after publication). One entitled ‘Rebel Entrepreneurs’ has just been submitted for Start Your Business magazine and ‘Rebel In a Business Suit - The Next HR Challenge’ for the HR Director magazine. They should both be out in October and November respectedly.
